How much time do I need to commit each week?
This course is designed for reciters of all ranges of experience. Whether you are an up and coming reciter or simply want to improve your voice, this course will serve to cater to your specific needs. Plan for 2–3 hours per week: roughly 1 hour of video lessons, plus 1–2 hours of practice.
Do I need prior musical training?
Not at all. We teach maqamat specifically in the context of Quranic recitation, not Western music theory. The course teaches the fundamentals and builds up gradually.
What if I can’t pronounce Arabic well yet?
Although it is highly recommended for one to learn proper Tajweed and recitation alongside this course, the lessons are still highly beneficial to developing one’s ability to recite beautifully and develop their vocal skills.
